We needed new floor covering for our bathroom so we went to First Choice Carpets as we had done business with them before and they were excellent. How things have changed! After checking their opening hours on their website we went to their shop in Trowbridge at 11:15 on a Monday only to find it closed - despite the printed notice on the door indicating that it should have been open. There was also a hand written notice saying that it would open at 12:00. I tried phoning the only number advertised and got no reply. The shop eventually opened and we selected a suitable floor covering however the only member of staff there was clearly out of her depth and despite having all the relevant information (dimensions of the bathroom and price per square meter ) she was unable to provide us with quote despite having access to a calculator and a computer. She had clearly not been trained and after a prolonged wait we agreed the best way to progress would be for her to phone us when she, or someone else, was able to provide a quote. We received no call that day or the following day and so we went elsewhere. Very disappointing

Cheaper than carpet right. They said they would turn up at 9 but called to say they would be late so l knew what was going on. Took 20 mins and looks great.
Helpful staff. Would have been a 4*, but they forgot my order when I went to pick it up. They had it the next day though!
